Question: Why are you doing an online engagement?

Our team wanted to offer multiple ways for heat stakeholders to be involved and engaged beyond the workgroup meetings. Engaging online also allows you to participate when it is convenient for you. It is a quick, safe, and convenient way to tell us your opinions and ideas on a range of heat-related topics. You can see what other workgroup members think about an issue and respond with your own comments.

Question: How do I submit my feedback?

You can submit your feedback via the online discussion forums, quick polls, mapping tools, forms and surveys. We are continually changing content so check back regularly or sign up for the newsletter. To participate for the first time, simply:

    • Click the “sign in” button
    • Choose a username and password
    • Complete a few quick questions
    • You will receive an email to validate your email address
    • Return to the website and click the “sign in” button
    • You are ready to participate!

Question: Why do I need to register to this site to make a comment?

You can always access the other project pages without registering but must register to participate. This is for a few reasons:

    • It helps to ensure a broad set of perspectives are represented by attributing feedback and frequency of feedback to individuals
    • Promotes accountability and encourages more thoughtful responses because feedback can be attributed to them
    • We can let you know about new engagements, events, and project milestones

Question: Why is this a closed group?

This page is a compliment to the regular meetings of the AZ Heat Preparedness & Resilience workgroup and the Cooling Center subgroup. Information posted and shared here is available for all workgroup members to view and it is a place where members can feel free to share more information on topics discussed in meetings, pose questions, and comment on heat issues arising in the community.

    Question: Is my privacy protected?

Yes! Your privacy is protected, and we will only use your email to contact you with updates and to invite you to participate in face-to-face events. Your email address will not be distributed to any third party or used for any other purpose. We do not ask for your details or require them at any time as part of your participation.
